Eating foods that are in season is a great way to ensure a varied diet year round. Not only will your produce be at its peak with nutrients, but it will taste its best, and likely be more economical to purchase than if you were seeking out those items during their off-season. Another added bonus (for some!) is the opportunity to prepare something new for ourselves and for our family.
Now that it is officially fall, what can we all look forward to? Foods that should make appearances on your grocery list this season include apples, squash of all kinds, cranberries, pears...to name a few! This recipe here is featuring butternut squash - a versatile fall vegetable that is wonderful in side dishes, soups, roasted vegetable medleys, or on its own!
